In October 2008 Paxus was officially approved by the Commonwealth Government as an authorised holder of an “On-Hire Labour Agreement” for sponsorship of overseas workers to fill nominated skilled IT positions in Australia.

The Labour Agreement enables Paxus to sponsor IT professionals who meet the necessary criteria under the Temporary Business (long stay) Visa (subclass 457) program.

A Paxus Sponsored Contractor has the following responsibilities:

• To remain in employment with Paxus
• To have private Health Cover to cover themselves and their dependants, at all times
• To advise any change of address and contact details
• To advise any change in their personal status i.e. marriage breakdown, birth of child etc.
• To notify Paxus if they intend to travel overseas and duration of the travel
• To notify Paxus when they apply for Permanent Residency or purchase a house or land or any application for a change of current visa status.
