Asset Management Solutions Officer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asset Management Solutions Officer to secure on a permanent basis.  
 
As the Asset Management Systems Officer you will be in charge of delivering business improvements to the Infrastructure Services Department. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring the department gets their business requirements enable by appropriate Information Communication and Technology, particularly data and systems.
 
To be considered for this excellent permanent opportunity you will need to be comfortable in demonstrating the following selection criteria requirements;        

  • Tertiary and industry qualifications in Information, Communication, & Technology, demonstrating the ability to manage business critical systems throughout their lifecycle, by meeting emerging business needs, and developing the Business Strategy, plans, processes and procedures
  • Must be ITIL certified (version 2 or 3), and able to demonstrate the practices and application of its fundamentals.  Must be able to identify which aspects will be applied to this position, and how it will be used to mature the service area, when and how
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position in a Project Management Office, or Technical Consultancy Service providing services along the Project Lifecycle, including approvals, justification, adhering to governance, and following a range of methodologies for the services offered
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years experience with proprietary and open source systems, change control, configuration management, customization, databases, oracle, csv files scripts, mapping files, queries, data, and data warehousing, and solid knowledge in integration and ICT infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability in procurement including resources, Requests For Information, Quotes, & Tender, in a government environment
  • Demonstrable leadership and self managing skills,  including running a service delivery area, providing customers with agreed levels of service, delivering: high quality business improvements, benefits realization, budgeting, planning, scheduling, strategy development, business requirements, and delivery and reporting in all above areas

The following criteria are highly desirable however, not essential;        

  • Highly developed level of computer literacy and knowledge of computer software in relation to Business Information Systems, including GIS and Asset Management Technology
  • Skills in database management including database design and ability to write advanced queries and reports
  • Knowledge of Asset Management, Hierarchies, groupings, naming conventions, attributes, and overall system design.
  • Proven ability to select and exercise an appropriate range of analytical, problem solving and investigative skills/techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in use of appropriate methodologies including SDLC, PMBOK, Prince 2, and Business Analysis such as BPMN.
