An outstanding contract opportunity is currently available for an experience Change and Release Consultant to join this leading consultancy’s vast program of work.
Working as an integral part of the established team your purpose will be to oversee and provide input to change & release management and consulting activities.
This role requires the you to liaise across lines of service, external suppliers, and 3rd party providers supporting the customer and the global application to understand the impact of changes or releases and to communicate and represent change and release activities being undertaken in the IT environment. The role requires excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
Key Activities of the role include:
- Daily review of planned change and/or release activities for responsible accounts/portfolios or projects
- Review and management of outage notification and communications relating to changes and releases
- Advice and input into change and release planning and review forums as required (CABs and RCB forums)
- Issues management
- Maintenance of auditable documentation relating to change and release management.
- Process improvement and associated updates to change and release management plans and adherence against the plan for change and releases activities
- Management of non-production testing and development environments, including refresh schedules, access and planning as required
- Review and input to proposed or requested changes and releases which includes, but is not limited to:
- Examining for dependencies and advising of conflicts
- Review/collation and distribution to various forum members any requested or relevant material as required
- Review of Testing results
Mercury ITG change request tool administration and support will be included in this role, including user licences and form maintenance
This role will be offered to the successful candidate on an initial 6 month contract with a view of extensions.
