Job description

  • Canberra location - on site work required
  • June/ July start
  • 12 month contract + possible extensions
  • Contribute to 24x7 operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical IT services

Role Overview:

As a EOC Team Member, you will be responsible for monitoring systems dashboards, utilising the ITSM Service Now tool, and applying ITIL methodology to ensure the reliability and availability of client IT services. You will work closely with various teams to detect and respond to incidents promptly, maintaining situational awareness and proactively addressing potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 'eyes on glass' monitoring of client IT services
  • Raise incidents via the ATO's IT Service Management Tool
  • Update external System Availability dashboards as required
  • Coordinate application maintenance page stand up and take down
  • Apply business intelligence for reporting purposes
  • Engage in incident management activities from event detection to closure
  • Assist with ITSM and SIAM processes
  • Provide proactive notice to avoid incidents and early alerting
  • Collaborate with resolver groups and incident teams for incident resolution
  • Support the service desk and client teams with information and communications

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizen with baseline clearance
  • 1-2 years of work experience in IT operations
  • Basic understanding of ITIL methodology
  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems dashboards, ITSM Service Now tool, ITIL methodology, and MS Office
