This is a unique opportunity to contribute to critical ICT procurement activities that promote transparency, value for money, and efficient service delivery. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to manage procurement processes for ICT labour hire contractors and their contracts, making a tangible difference on a national and global scale.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for procurement and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Flexible working arrangements, including part-time and remote options, are available. The position is offered as a non-ongoing contract for 12 months, with a possibility for extension and ongoing opportunities.
Key skills required:
- Negotiation and stakeholder relationship management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound decision-making based on professional judgement
- Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Experience with SAP financial and contract modules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Capability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedural standards
Nice to have skills:
- Experience in ICT procurement or a desire to develop expertise in this area
- Familiarity with electronic records management systems (EDRMS)
- Experience in government or large organisational procurement environments
Preferred education and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience working within a similar procurement role
- An NV1 security clearance is essential; an NV2 clearance is highly regarded
Other requirements:
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Willingness to undertake any required security clearances
- Ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely, including part-time options
