FIFO - Senior Safety Coordinator:

• Experience with Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW)

About The Role:

This role leads the delivery of Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) support across projects in the regional area, providing expert advice, governance and assurance to strengthen safe, compliant and high-performing worksites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Safety, Health and Wellbeing practices across regional projects and worksites.
• Support risk management, auditing, compliance, and contractor assurance activities.
• Partner with managers, supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to promote safe systems of work.
• Oversee incident response, investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
• Deliver safety training, presentations, and mentoring to build capability across teams.
• Support compliance with occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation, and injury management requirements.

About You:

• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, workers’ compensation, and injury management practices.
• Experience working in operational risk environments, projects, worksites, or contractor-led settings.
• Sound understanding of WHS systems, traffic management practices, auditing, and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach leaders, mentor teams, and influence contractor performance.
