Job description
Our client, a division of the NSW government department, operates within the Digital.NSW Group. This extremely interesting and important government division is requiring the services of a Consulting Engineer with extremely strong advisory and on-prem to cloud experience. Jira and monitoring service levels of the organisation's ICT environment is also 'key'. Again, you will be providing technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, leveraging AWS cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day advisory and administration of AWS cloud tenancy and hosted critical business applications
- Advisory and consulting on AWS cloud, configuration and design
- Analyse and report on the performance and functionality of assigned systems and applications to guide owners in the development of business cases for necessary upgrades or decisions that will reduce issues and/or eliminate adverse impacts upon service delivery.
- Any knowledge and experience with IAC
- Administer numerous critical business systems operating in the AWS cloud environment
- Promote and ensure the use of standardised methods, agreed tools and reference material to mitigate risks and drive high standards, efficiency and consistency within the team
- Manage set-up activities for large-scale or complex deployments or changes to the organisations information systems to comply with operational requirement for service delivery and change management procedures
Desirable
- Knowledge of JIRA Cloud administration, workflow and project configuration
- People who are experienced with majority of project work.
- Some project management experience.
