Job description

With a current drive to ensure business critical applications are effective in providing the value and meeting the needs of its users this role will work to expand app monitoring coverage across our global asset portfolio.

Prioritising asset remediation and modernisation needs continues to prove challenging without benchmarks to measure against. A core focus for this team will be evolving how we measure and assess performance of assets, expanding further into end-user experience to feed into prioritisation activities.

This is a contracted role to run until June 30th, 2023 with extension review occurring one month prior.

Core duties performed:

  • Providing ongoing support to existing App Monitoring Platforms
  • Onboarding new applications into existing App Monitoring Platforms
  • Engineer and expose new functionality across our existing app monitoring platforms
  • Working with the App Monitoring Advisor to design and introduce additional monitoring platforms to the business
  • Provide technical guidance on application monitoring technology and techniques (ie vendor products for asset health management, condition monitoring, SLA alignment tracking)
  • Provide technical guidance on application performance assessment technology and techniques (ie root cause identification, logging data, transaction health, human factors assessment)
  • Provide technical guidance on end-user experience assessment technology and techniques (ie visible performance benchmarks, customer feedback capture, customer facing dashboards)

What you'll bring:

  • Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Understanding complex application architecture
  • Tertiary education within an engineering domain or computer science, or relevant industry experience
  • At a minimum 5 years' experience working in a technical support role
  • Adaptable and motivated to learning new technologies
  • Excellent self-time management and prioritisation to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and development activities
  • Experience in and ability to adhere to applicable policies, standards and solutions architecture
  • Experience with the following technologies highly desirable - Application Performance Monitoring Platforms (Dynatrace), Cloud technologies.
