Paxus is partnering with a large government agency who are currently undertaking a significant technology uplift program. As part of this program, a contract opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Brisbane CBD office has become available.
Role/Responsibilities
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with both business and technology teams to support the delivery of a variety of technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Establish, maintain and apply standards, practices and governance processes to ensure the quality of technical business analysis products.
- Collaborate with partner agency technical and business representatives to elicit business requirements and evolve those requirements for technical design and implementation of solution components.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications including information modelling of database, desktop, mobility, infrastructure (server and operating system), infrastructure (virtualisation and storage), and software solutions.
- Define key test scenarios, carry out verification testing and support development and testing teams to ensure the solution is complete and meets agreed acceptance criteria, including assistance with documentation and testing of defect fixes and changes.
- Provide leadership and advice on database, desktop, mobility, and software solutions, products and services to internal and external stakeholders.
Skills/Experience
- Strong knowledge in all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong knowledge in one or more of the following technical specialities:
- Database
- Desktop
- Mobility
- Software
- Use of fit-for-purpose tools to record and manage requirements for the documentation and management of quality assurance.
- System analysis activities on complex Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products
- Experience of Agile delivery
