ERP SAP S/4HANA Payroll Business Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ERP SAP S/4HANA Payroll Business Analyst to join a major transformation program focused on modernising payroll systems. You will play a key role in supporting the design, build, and deployment of SAP solutions, ensuring smooth integration, data migration, and process optimisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a large-scale ERP rollout, driving meaningful change in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define payroll system requirements.
- Analyse and document payroll business processes, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities.
- Support payroll system enhancements, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.
- Work with technical teams on data migration, integration, and validation.
- Assist with testing, UAT, and implementation support, including issue resolution.
- Provide end-user training and develop supporting documentation.
- Act as a bridge between HR, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Support post-go-live stabilisation efforts, including parallel runs and reconciliations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years as a payroll-focused Business Analyst in SAP functional consulting or SAP solution support.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, outsourcing, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HCM submodules such as Payroll, Time Management, Personnel Administration, and Organisational Management.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with Activate methodology and business analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA) is advantageous.
Desirable
- Experience in large, multi-release ERP programs.
- Exposure to public sector (Federal, State, or Local Government) programs.
- HR/Payroll operational or application support background.
