Paxus Recruitment is working for an award winning marketing agency helping them recruit for a Head of SEO for the Melbourne team. The current Melbourne team is around 40 people comprising of Media & Digital Marketing Experts. WIth the expansion plans they have decided to add SEO as a part of their service and looking for a Head of SEO who can help them setup the SEO practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the SEO planning inputs across all relevant client briefs.
- Grow and elevate the SEO Product offering and ensuring best in class owned media strategy,planning and execution
- Consultation with the Client Solutions team on planning matters including channel roles, marketing science and individual client marketing challenges
- Lead and assist in the planning elements of new business pitches, with support from Head of Digital
- Contribute to thought leadership across industry topics
- Contribute from a planning POV to the agencies approach to SEO
- Recruit & Mentor specialists for the SEO team for the Agency practice
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years SEO experience with an intimate understanding of the SEO landscape. Ideally with previous experience in a Digital agency Strategy or Planning role
- Ability to articulate SEO ideas, strategies, and tactics to audiences with varying knowledge ofSEO (novices to technical specialists)
- Solid understanding of web analytics, algorithm changes, and the nuances of links within theSEO ecosystem
- Experience working with Large enterprise level SEO clients in an Agency setup.
- A confident decision maker who can lead projects and proactively identify opportunities for clients and the business.
