ICT DATA ANALYST/ENGINEER - DATA AND AI

THE ROLE
We're seeking a skilled Data Analyst / Engineer to join a leading Data & AI team working on a major government transformation project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale, data-driven solutions shaping future government services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather data from various sources including databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Maintain, update, and manage data systems (SQL, Excel, Power BI datasets).
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring high data integrity.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and preparation for analysis.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and insights.
  • Apply statistical methods like regression, clustering, and forecasting.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet key business needs.
  • Present findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI (or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and visualisation best practices.
  • Experience managing large, multi-source datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex findings clearly.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse business teams.
