ICT DATA ANALYST/ENGINEER - DATA AND AI
THE ROLE
We're seeking a skilled Data Analyst / Engineer to join a leading Data & AI team working on a major government transformation project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale, data-driven solutions shaping future government services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather data from various sources including databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Maintain, update, and manage data systems (SQL, Excel, Power BI datasets).
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring high data integrity.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and preparation for analysis.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and insights.
- Apply statistical methods like regression, clustering, and forecasting.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet key business needs.
- Present findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI (or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and visualisation best practices.
- Experience managing large, multi-source datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex findings clearly.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse business teams.
