Role Outline:
A prestigious state government department requires a Infrastructure support Engineer to work on a large scale migration projects
Technical Migration with 5+ years experience with migration projects. The ICT Support Engineer procedures and strategies to support, create, maintain and manage technical processes and guidelines and systems infrastructure, investigate, analyse and resolve system problems and performance issues, and test the behaviour, functionality and integrity of systems.
Skills and experience required:
Significant knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office 365 and Share Point Online administration (O365 Tennant administration experience preferred) and other cloud-based enterprise scale services.
* Knowledge and experience in managing Microsoft Teams
* Knowledge and experience in using Share Gate or other similar file migration tools.
* Good understanding of Active Directory and file permission management.
* Significant knowledge and experience in the support, maintenance and management of enterprise scale applications, hosted on premise and in the cloud
* Sound working knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks including ITIL, process tools, frameworks, and best practice methods.
* Ability to manage and lead vendor discussions for migration activities and manage resolution of technical issues.
* Manage file migration activities during business hours and after-hours on weekdays and on weekends
* Knowledge of Google GSuite Administration will be a plus
Please note this is a state government department and, if successful, will need to be Covid vaccinated amongst other background checks.
On offer to the successful applicant is a contract role of 9 months with possible extensions. This is Sydney based role with work from home flexibility.
Rates on offer are up to $800 + super per day based on your skills and experience.
