Job description

Great opportunity for a procurement specialist to join one of Australia's leading Wealth management firms to support their transition program

This opportunity will enable the Procurement Specialist to obtain exposure to various procurement activity across multiple categories with varying spend. It will provide an introduction into working within a complex, highly regulated environment, and the challenges that this brings from a commercial, risk and legal perspective.

Your responsibilities:

  • Supporting senior procurement managers with the development of sourcing materials such as sourcing strategies, RFx and other material as required
  • Providing the Transition Program Lead with program reporting updates
  • Managing low risk and low value commercial processes for various categories including IT
  • Robustly negotiating optimum commercial outcomes and contracts
  • Managing the central repository for contracts, including activity planning and the timely execution of contracts
  • Assist with the consolidation of data from various sources to identify and support fact-driven savings opportunities. Ensuring analysis is accurate, comprehensive, and robust

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 2-3+ years' experience in procurement, ideally financial services, technology or general commercial services
  • Analytical skills with the ability to produce reporting through Excel
  • High commercial acumen
  • Experience running market engagement activities (RFx)
  • Self-motivated individual who displays a 'can-do' pro-active and collaborative style
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills
