Job description

The core purpose of the Network Engineer - Connectivity is the technical build resource for Client IT's Connectivity domain. This role works with project teams, Operational teams and in conjunction with the Domain Architect - Connectivity to provide guidance, provisioning and the configuration of enterprise infrastructure and business services to realise project and strategic outcomes.

Core responsibilities relate to the "Connectivity" domain and include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform build and configuration activities relating to project initiatives as defined in project architecture
  • Identify best practice technical standards, practices and policies to support the delivery of a robust and fit for purpose solutions to support the projects and
  • Contribute to the development of High-Level Designs (HLDs) & Detailed Level Designs (DLD) for project
  • Provide input to domain strategies and roadmaps by providing insights from the deployment of technologies in real world scenarios leveraging practical
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in relation to technical standards and services across the
  • Serve as a final point of internal escalation for IT Operations Team relating to Priority 1
  • Perform knowledge transfer and transition of project solutions to IT Operations Team.

Experience, qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 6 + years of experience in a subject matter expert role within an IT Infrastructure
  • Strong technical skillset relating to the technologies contained within the Connectivity
  • High level understanding of project management frameworks
  • Demonstrated SFIA capability in line with requirements listed
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively in cross functional teams producing quality
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, Cobit, MCSE, CCNA, CCIE, etc.)
