Job description

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator to join their Canberra team. This is a 12 month contract with 2x12 month extensions. This role is open to Australian citizens who hold an active NV1 Security clearance.

As the Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware administrator you will exercise a considerable degree of independence and undertake a technical leadership role, with performing their work in consultation with senior staff and in support of critical Departmental systems.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Install, configuration of Oracle Fusion Middleware products including WebLogic, SOA/BPEL, OSB, OAG, OPA and OEDQ.
  • Work with team and collaborate in troubleshooting any issues in Fusion Middleware Stack.
  • Work with Release Management Team to migrate application code between non-production and Production Environments.
  • Apply patches to the Fusion Middleware applications.
  • Manage Oracle Fusion Middleware Instances integration to Siebel and all third party software.
  • Manage routine Application/Infrastructure backup procedures and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide On-Call support to Production Systems.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware administration, components, architecture and best practices
  • Applied experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware products including WebLogic, SOA/BPEL, OSB, OAG, OPA and OEDQ
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to contribute to multi-disciplinary projects
  • Knowledge of Incident Management, Change Management and Release Management processes as they relate to FMW administration activities
  • Willingness to provide on-call system support and after hours support of software releases, application patching, etc. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues to support complex, real-time stakeholder systems
  • Understanding of FMW optimisation and performance tuning techniques to ensure efficient middleware operations.
  • Experience in operating in and contributing to a service-oriented architecture
