Permanent opportunity - Melbourne based!

Work as a Senior/ Lead Data Engineer with a renowned Global Consulting firm based in Australia.

Responsibilities and Skills required include:

  • Designing, building and operationalizing large-scale enterprise data solutions using one or more of GCP data and analytics services. Technologies Involved - ELT Tool DBT, Spark, Hive, Cloud DataProc, Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam/ composer, Big Table, Cloud BigQuery, Cloud PubSub, Cloud storage Cloud Functions & GitHub.
  • Designing and building data pipelines from data ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture, using Cloud Native GCP,DBT,SQL etc.
  • Perform analysis of data pipeline and patterns in legacy Teradata platform and implement data modelling to achieve Target state data Architecture on GCP.
  • Utilises tools and practices to build, verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways, enhancing divisional capabilities.
  • Strong awareness of banking and finance industry trends and threats (technology, products, regulatory environment, competitors, innovations)
  • Coach, guide and develop people to build competency in engineering team.
