Paxus Recruitment is working for an award winning marketing agency helping them recruit for a Business Director for the Melbourne team. The current team is around 40 people and because of team expansion & internal promotions they are ready to hire a new Business Director for the Melbourne team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic and/or comms planning inputs across all relevant client briefs
- Annual planning with support from Head of Planning
- Consultation with the Client Solutions team on planning matters including channel roles, marketing science and individual client marketing challenges
- Lead and assist in the planning elements of new business pitches, with support from Head of Planning
- Contribute to thought leadership across industry topics
- Contribute from a planning POV to agencies approach to media channels
- Act as a key contact for publishers for clients briefs or new planning products
- Assist in the creation and execution of planning led training and development across the agency
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years media/marketing experience with an intimate understanding of the media landscape. Ideally with previous experience in a media agency Strategy or Planning role
- A critical thinker with the ability to simplify the complex, formulate well-structured opinions and develop interesting ideas
- A confident decision maker who can lead projects and proactively identify opportunities for clients and the business
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, continuously exceeding their expectations
- A positive and proactive mindset that embraces a collaborative culture of learning and knowledge sharing
