Are you an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer looking to take the next step in your career within the Federal Government sector? We are seeking a motivated AWS Platform Engineer to lead a squad of AWS Platform Engineers in delivering secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions.
You will be part of a high-performing team contributing to one of Australia’s most impactful government programs, helping to build world-leading digital infrastructure to support services for Australians.
- 12 months contract with another months extension option.
- You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance
- Client has offices Australia-wide
- Hybrid role ( 3 days in office and 2 days WFH)
- Paxus pays weekly
To be successful in this role you must have:

Lead a team of AWS Platform Engineers including delegation of tasks, mentoring, and identifying opportunities for upskilling.

Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure to support scalable and resilient applications and services.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated and efficient deployments.

Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure high performance and availability.

Develop secure solutions aligned with Australian government security standards including PSPF, ASD Blueprints, and ISM Controls.

Automate provisioning and infrastructure management using Terraform and version control through Git repositories
To be considered for this role you must have:

Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions in complex cloud environments.

Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams or take on a technical lead role in cloud infrastructure projects

Experience using IBM Terraform, IBM Vault (formerly HashiCorp), and Git-based repositories such as GitLab and GitHub for managing IaC solutions.

Experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
