Senior ICT Project Officer

We are seeking experienced Senior ICT Project Officers to support the successful delivery of ICT projects within a large and complex environment.

Working under limited direction, you will coordinate project activities, maintain project plans and reporting, manage risks and issues, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects and project activities.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate project reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, benefits, budgets and expenditure.
  • Prepare business cases, executive briefs, plans and other project documentation.
  • Provide specialist project advice to stakeholders and senior staff.
  • Support procurement and contract management activities.
  • Undertake research and analysis to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support, coach and guide project staff where required.
  • Represent the project or team at meetings and other forums.

About You

You will be an experienced project professional with demonstrated capability working within structured project or program environments. You will have strong organisational and stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

You will bring experience across:

  • Project and program management frameworks, methodologies and tools.
  • Project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting.
  • Portfolio, program and project support.
  • Risk, issue, quality and benefits management.
  • Developing project measures, reporting methods and performance information.
  • Preparing high-quality briefs, reports and corporate documentation.
  • Stakeholder engagement and specialist advice.
  • Process improvement and quality management.

Experience providing customer service support, quality assurance or specialist advice within a complex environment will be highly regarded.

Contract Details

  • Level: Senior / APS6 equivalent
  • Locations: ACT, QLD or SA – capital city locations
  • Initial term: Up to 12 months
  • Extensions: Potential extensions up to a maximum of 24 months
  • Working arrangement: Hybrid, following an initial six-week onsite period
  • Security: Must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance
