About the Role:
In this position, you will provide essential support to the Financial Accountants, helping to ensure seamless, efficient, and continuously improving financial operations.
Working closely under the direction of the Financial Accountant - VMO / Sundry Debtors, you will be instrumental in meeting critical deadlines, supporting the Annual Accounts process, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective day-to-day support for Accounts Receivable, VMoney, and Web VMoney functions, ensuring all operational duties are met.
- Act as a key user and specialist for our Oracle financial applications.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, testing, and improvement of Oracle systems and processes.
- Provide short-term leave coverage and backup support for Financial Accountants and other Assistant Accountants within the unit.
- Maintain accuracy within the General Ledger, promptly identifying and escalating discrepancies to the Manager, Financial Systems and Audit.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial information and documentation for the annual audit.
- Provide relief and support to other staff within the District Finance team as required.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in accounts receivable, financial systems (preferably Oracle), and month-end processes. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, excellent communicator, and able to manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines.
