A Queensland public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile, business-led initiative focused on regulatory and legislative change to support improved road safety outcomes.
This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including governance, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realisation. It is not an IT systems implementation role. The successful candidate will work within a hybrid PRINCE2 and Agile environment, partnering closely with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, and project advisors.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery and closure

Establish and maintain strong project governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks

Engage and manage a wide range of senior internal and external stakeholders

Coordinate subject matter experts and advisory resources to achieve project outcomes

Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change in a regulated environment

Ensure project benefits are clearly defined, tracked, and realised

About You:

Proven experience delivering complex projects within the public sector

Strong governance and assurance capability

Comfortable operating independently in fast-paced or highly regulated environments

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Experience working across PRINCE2 and Agile delivery approaches
