Agile Delivery Manager – ICT Transformation

Brisbane CBD | Long-term Contract | Possible Extension

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to provide strategic delivery leadership across a major business and technology transformation program.

This is a senior, program-level role suited to someone who can lead multiple Agile teams, coach Iteration Managers, establish new delivery teams and work closely with senior program leadership to drive successful outcomes across a complex ICT environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Providing leadership and oversight to Iteration Managers and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Ensuring team delivery roadmaps align with broader program priorities and strategic objectives.
• Establishing new Agile teams through Sprint 0 activities and providing transitional delivery leadership.
• Acting as a key strategic support to the Program Director and broader program leadership.
• Coaching Iteration Managers and Agile teams to improve Agile delivery practices and team performance.
• Developing and delivering Agile training and capability-uplift initiatives.
• Facilitating program-level Agile ceremonies including Scrum of Scrums, retrospectives and planning activities.
• Managing program-level risks, dependencies, impediments and delivery issues.
• Supporting workforce and resource planning across multiple delivery teams.
• Maintaining oversight of release plans and the overall program delivery roadmap.
• Driving a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Supporting program reporting, metrics, governance and ICT assurance requirements.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Extensive experience as an Agile Delivery Manager within large or complex ICT transformation programs.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Agile project management, delivery management or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple cross-functional teams at a program level.
• Strong practical knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience coaching and mentoring Iteration Managers, Scrum Masters or Agile delivery teams.
• Proven experience facilitating program-level ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums, retrospectives and Big Room Planning.
• Strong experience managing complex risks, dependencies and delivery impediments.
• Experience working across business-led ICT programs involving multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution and organisational capability.
• The ability to operate effectively within complex, fast-moving and ambiguous environments.

Highly Desirable

Advanced Agile certifications such as:

• SAFe Agilist
• PMI-ACP
• Certified Scrum Professional
• Comparable advanced Agile qualifications
