About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Executive Assistant (APS 5) to join a high-performing Commonwealth agency on a non-ongoing basis.
Open to NSW, VIC, Brisbane, Adelaide, Cairns, Darwin, Hobart, Perth and Townsville
This role offers the chance to work closely with senior executives in a dynamic and professional environment, providing high level administrative and executive support to help drive strategic priorities and operational outcomes. Candidates with a background in law or corporate professional services will be strongly aligned to the requirements of this role.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide proactive executive and administrative support to senior leaders
 - Manage complex diaries, appointments and travel arrangements
 - Coordinate meetings, events and committee support, including agenda preparation and minute taking
 - Prepare, format and review briefing papers, reports and correspondence
 - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the executive
 - Maintain records and correspondence in line with government standards
 - Exercise sound judgement, discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive and confidential information
 
About You
You are a highly organised and adaptable professional with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You are highly adept at building strong professional relationships and establishing trust with the executives you support. You thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience providing executive or senior administrative support (preferably in a government or large organisation)
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital administration tools
 - Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
 - A commitment to the values and integrity of the Australian Public Service
