• 12 months non-ongoing ( with 6 months extension option) and potential for ongoing.
• Salary ranges from $102,266 - $114,988 + 15.4% super
• Canberra based role

About the Role

As the Test Analyst Team Leader , you will play a key role in managing testing activities for various projects and support functions. Leading a team of up to ten testers, you will oversee the development of test strategies, plans, and reports, ensuring alignment with departmental frameworks. Your expertise will contribute to process automation, system transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-quality delivery.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Mandatory ISTQB certification and extensive experience as a senior test analyst
• Proven leadership skills to supervise and mentor testing personnel
• Experience developing and reviewing testing artefacts including strategies, plans, cases, and reports
• Familiarity with change and release management within the Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools such as Word and Excel
• Knowledge of test automation processes and risk mitigation strategies
• Ability to operate independently and escalate issues appropriately
• A minimum NV1 security clearance, with NV2 preferred

Nice to Have Skills

• Leadership experience in government or similar environments
• Knowledge of cloud SaaS and PaaS solutions
• Understanding of government test governance frameworks
• Additional certifications in software quality assurance or testing
• Experience supporting online portals or crucial government services

Preferred Education and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• At least five years of testing experience, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role within a similar setting
• Proven success in implementing test automation initiatives and continuous improvement strategies
