APS4/5 Mailroom Administration Officer **NV2 Required**
An exciting APS opportunity is now available for a reliable and proactive Mailroom Administration Officer to join a secure handling and logistics environment. In this role, you’ll support a high-performing mailroom team, ensuring the accurate preparation, movement and documentation of sensitive, high-priority and international consignments. About the Role
Working within a small team, you will assist with day to day mailroom operations, secure handling procedures and client support. The position requires strong attention to detail, physical capability, and a willingness to work irregular hours when required. The role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing loaded trolleys, working in confined spaces, and performing repetitive manual handling. Flexibility to work irregular or long hours is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, label and weigh packages for international dispatch.
- Register, receipt and track mail items.
- Load and unload mail trucks and operate mailroom equipment.
- Drive long distances to support mail deliveries and pickups (eg - Canberra to Sydney Airport).
- Coordinate pickup times with carriers and obtain shipping quotes.
- Assist with travel documentation such as manifests and laissez-passer.
- Support accounts payable functions, including invoice preparation and follow-ups.
- Potential travel to escort classified and sensitive material.
Core Requirements:
- Ability to lift items up to 30 kg.
- Ability to drive long distances (up to 4 hours).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office.

Certifications / Licences
- NV2 security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- ASIC pass (or ability to obtain).
