AWS Engineer
Contract until 31 July 2026 (extensions likely)
Location:
Canberra or Melbourne (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Clearance:
Baseline required
Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced AWS Engineer to support the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions in a government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build AWS application components and Infrastructure as Code based on approved designs
- Deliver low-level designs across integrations, data services, and dashboards
- Develop, test, and deploy code across multiple environments (Dev to Production)
- Perform unit testing to ensure quality and reliability
- Work closely with DevOps for deployment and integration
- Configure security, firewall rules, and monitoring (CloudWatch)
- Implement backup and recovery strategies
- Maintain clear technical documentation
Requirements:
- Strong AWS engineering experience
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working across multiple environments
- Strong understanding of cloud security and monitoring
- Ability to work in a structured, government environment
- Baseline clearance (mandatory)
