About the Role
An experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer is required to support a federal government project. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and securing AWS environments across multiple accounts, with a strong focus on automation, compliance, and DevSecOps practices.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS VPCs with secure network isolation (subnets, route tables, NACLs, security groups, VPC endpoints).

Define and manage IAM roles, policies, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or OpenTofu.

Automate deployment of networking, IAM, logging (CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs), and monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, GuardDuty).

Implement and support LiteLLM gateway deployment, policy enforcement, and tagging for cost tracking.

Enable secure connectivity patterns (PrivateLink, VPC peering) and assist onboarding automation via AWS Service Catalog or Control Tower.

Ensure compliance with ISM Protected and Australian Government cloud security standards.
Essential Criteria
-
Proven experience delivering IaC solutions via Azure DevOps, Terraform, AWS CDK, or OpenTofu.

Strong AWS networking expertise (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups).

Advanced knowledge of IAM and SCP design.

Proficiency in automation scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

Solid understanding of pipeline security, governance, and multi-account AWS environments.

Knowledge of Australian Government cloud security and compliance standards.
Desirable Criteria
-
Experience with LiteLLM gateway configuration.
-
Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud networking.

Familiarity with Dynatrace or other observability tooling.
