AWS Cloud Engineer

• 12 months contract with 2x 12 months extension
• Locations: ACT, QLD, VIC, WA
• Australian Citizens with minimum NV1 security clerance is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design AWS infrastructure solutions tailored to technical and business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise AWS services for cost, performance, security, and reliability.
• Engage with senior leadership to align cloud strategies with organisational goals.
• Partner with product owners and developers to identify and assess security controls in line with PSPF, ISM, E8, and internal policies.
• Contribute to the implementation of CNAPP/SASE tooling across cloud platforms.
• Work with Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Domain Services for integrated cloud identity solutions.
• Develop and test Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate tools and solutions before deployment in the TS Cloud.
• Liaise with agencies to understand current architectures and incorporate them into future designs, including Zero Trust Architecture planning.
• Collaborate with cloud providers to ensure feasible and scalable solution architectures.

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience in AWS architecture and engineering.
• Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience with Azure identity services and hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to work in high-security environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Australian Citizenship with NV1 clearance or higher is mandatory.
