We are seeking a Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of a secure and scalable Azure Landing Zone aligned with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework. This is an initial 4-month contract with possibility of extension.
This role will play a critical part in shaping cloud architecture, governance, and security foundations for a modern cloud environment. Working closely with internal stakeholders and technical teams, you will design the core Azure architecture that supports long-term cloud adoption, operational resilience, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a new Azure Landing Zone aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework
- Define subscription strategy, management groups, and governance model
- Design secure network architecture including hub-and-spoke connectivity and security controls
- Implement Azure Policy, Blueprints, and security baselines
- Architect identity integration with Microsoft Entra ID
- Design backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks
- Ensure compliance with data residency and sovereignty requirements
- Design monitoring and logging architecture using Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel
- Produce high-level and low-level architecture documentation
- Support the secure transition of the environment to operational teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing Azure Landing Zones in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture and governance frameworks
- Experience with Azure networking, including hub-and-spoke architectures and connectivity design
- Hands-on experience with Azure Policy, Blueprints, and security controls
- Strong understanding of identity and access management with Entra ID
- Experience designing cloud security, monitoring, and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies in Azure
- Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and technical designs
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
