Senior Batch Job Management Engineer
Location: Melbourne | Brisbane | Canberra (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month contract
Australian Citizen - Active Baseline or NV1 clearance (NV1 preferred)(mandatory)
Role Summary:
Senior engineer responsible for transitioning enterprise batch job management from an external provider to internal teams, while ensuring stable, efficient, and well-optimised batch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead transition of batch job services from incumbent vendor to in-house operations
Manage, schedule, execute, and monitor batch jobs using Control-M, Autosys, or Tivoli TWS
Define job dependencies, failure handling, recovery, and automation
Act as escalation point for batch incidents and performance issues
Optimise batch workflows to improve reliability and efficiency
Maintain operational documentation and support compliance requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
Strong enterprise batch job management experience
Hands-on expertise with Control-M, Autosys, or Tivoli TWS
Proven experience transitioning batch services from outsourced to internal teams
Preferred:
Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Linux / Unix / Windows environments
