💡 About the Role

In this frontline role, you’ll help operate vibrant community centres and deliver programs that foster social connection, wellbeing, and resilience. You’ll be working with people from all walks of life, providing support, information, and referral pathways to help community members access the right services at the right time.

Your bilingual skills in Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be key in breaking down barriers, ensuring Sydney’s Chinese-speaking communities feel welcomed, understood, and included.

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating safe, engaging, and inclusive community spaces.
  
  
• Planning and delivering recreational, cultural, and social programs that respond to local needs.
  
  
• Engaging directly with community members — providing brief support and linking them to services.
  
  
• Building and maintaining networks with service providers and stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways.
  
  
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of community centres, ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.
  
  

🙌 About You

• Bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese , with the ability to connect across cultures.
  
  
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, community services, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  
  
• Experience in delivering community programs, activities, or services.
  
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of people.
  
  
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  
  
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
