We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst Specialist to join a large and complex Queensland government environment, supporting a key uplift in information management capability across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong experience across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, document migration, metadata, taxonomy, governance, and records management.

In this role, you will support the design and improvement of contemporary information management practices, with a focus on Microsoft 365 platforms and digital ways of working.

Key responsibilities include

  • Designing and optimising document libraries, metadata structures, taxonomies, and SharePoint/Teams workspaces
  • Creating and maintaining workflows, permissions, and access controls
  • Leading or supporting migration of content from legacy repositories such as eDOCS into Microsoft 365
  • Mapping metadata and ensuring appropriate classification, tagging, and storage of migrated content
  • Providing advice on information management systems, frameworks, governance, and best practice
  • Supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, classification and labelling frameworks
  • Assisting with user access controls, information sharing protocols, and related governance requirements
  • Engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of information management standards

To be considered, you will have

  • Proven experience in Microsoft 365 administration and configuration, particularly SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
  • Strong background in information management, records management, or document management
  • Experience with eDOCS or similar legacy document management systems
  • Experience with RecordPoint or similar cloud-based records platforms
  • Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, classification, document lifecycle management and governance
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work across both technical and business teams in a collaborative way

Desirable experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Library Science, Computer Science or a related field
  • Previous experience in government or regulated environments
