Business Analyst – IT Infrastructure

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong IT infrastructure focus who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions across a diverse enterprise environment.
About the Role
You will play a key role in analysing, shaping, and delivering business and technical requirements across infrastructure programs. Working closely with engineers, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders, you will ensure solutions are well-defined, aligned, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and validate business and technical requirements
- Produce high-quality business analysis artefacts including BRDs, FRDs, process maps, business rules, and test scenarios
- Translate complex infrastructure concepts into clear, business-aligned documentation
- Conduct process analysis and identify improvement opportunities, including automation and optimisation
- Support solution design discussions by interpreting architecture diagrams and technical designs
- Perform change impact assessments for infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and system changes
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions to drive alignment
- Support testing activities, ensuring traceability from requirements through to UAT and delivery
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and requirements gaps early in the lifecycle
- Work across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in IT infrastructure or technical environments
- Solid understanding of infrastructure domains, including:
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancing)
- Servers & storage (virtualisation, data centres)
- Identity & access management (Active Directory, MFA, SSO)
- End-user computing and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Proven ability to translate technical requirements into business outcomes
- Experience working closely with engineers, architects, and infrastructure teams
- Advanced skills in process modelling, data analysis, and business systems analysis
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro, Excel, and Power BI
- Familiarity with ITSM practices(incident, change, problem management)
