SAP S/4HANA HR/ PAYROLL BUSINESS ANALYST - FIELDGLASS
An exciting contract opportunity exists for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst to support one of Queensland’s most significant public sector ERP programs. As part of the HR/Payroll transformation stream, you will drive the design, analysis, and integration of SAP S/4HANA Payroll and Fieldglass solutions into a complex, high-value environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for HR/payroll and time & leave systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities for payroll automation and process improvement.
- Assess, document, and streamline workflows for labour, leave, and contingent workforce management.
- Assist with designing time/leave workflows and ensure compliance with Australian payroll regulations.
- Validate data migration and system integration with technical teams and SI partners.
- Review and challenge functional designs, system configurations, and integration logic.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and issue resolution during implementation.
- Prepare documentation, deliver end-user training, and drive adoption of fit-to-standard solutions.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the voice of the end user is incorporated.
- Identify risks and proactively suggest mitigation strategies.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years’ SAP experience including deep expertise in HR/payroll and time & leave.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP Fieldglass and payroll process design.
- Strong knowledge of system integrations and contingent workforce processes.
- Proven track record of translating business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
- Experience working with stakeholders to deliver high-quality end-user system design.
- Ability to engage vendors and internal teams to drive successful operational and strategic outcomes.
- Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to work in virtual and on-site teams.
- Exceptionally organised with a proven delivery focus and strong emotional intelligence.
DERSIRABLE
- Experience in large, multi-release programs and operational HR/payroll support.
- Business Analysis certifications (CBAP or CCBA) and familiarity with SAP Activate methodologies.
