Business Readiness Lead

A large and complex public sector organisation serving a major Australian metropolitan region is undertaking significant enterprise transformation initiatives to modernise legacy systems and uplift core business capabilities.
These multi-year programs focus on replacing critical regulatory and workforce systems with contemporary enterprise platforms, aligned to improved service delivery, compliance obligations, and customer-centric outcomes.
To support successful implementation, an experienced Business Readiness Lead is required to drive organisational readiness, transition planning, and adoption across large-scale technology programs.
The Role
As Business Readiness Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation is fully prepared for the deployment of new enterprise systems and associated process changes. You will act as the interface between program delivery teams and operational business units, ensuring impacts are understood, managed, and embedded effectively.
This role requires strong change leadership capability, structured planning, and experience operating in complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Readiness & Change Strategy

Develop and execute detailed business readiness frameworks aligned to program milestones.

Lead change impact assessments across people, process, technology, and service delivery.

Define readiness criteria, transition plans, and adoption success measures.
Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with senior leaders, operational teams, and program stakeholders to align on change and transition approaches.

Facilitate workshops to identify business impacts, risks, and dependencies.

Provide clear reporting on readiness status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Operational Transition & Go-Live Support

Coordinate business transition, cutover planning, and go-live readiness activities.

Ensure training, communications, and updated procedures are delivered effectively.

Support post-implementation stabilisation and continuous improvement.
Governance & Risk Management

Identify organisational and operational risks associated with system replacement.

Establish readiness checkpoints and controls to support successful implementation.

Contribute to benefits realisation and adoption tracking.
About You
You are an experienced business readiness or change professional who understands the organisational impact of enterprise system transformation. You bring:

Proven experience leading business readiness or change activities across large ICT programs.

Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments (government experience highly regarded).

Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills at both operational and executive levels.

Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, regulatory, or workforce systems.

Ability to manage multiple workstreams in phased delivery environments.

Strong documentation, planning, and reporting capability.
Relevant qualifications in Change Management, Business Analysis, or Project/Program Management will be highly regarded.
