We're partnering with a leading local government organisation seeking a Business Support Officer to join a busy and collaborative operational team. About the Role
As the Business Support Officer, you'll provide high-quality administrative and operational support while acting as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. You'll manage customer enquiries, maintain accurate records, coordinate financial and administrative processes, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email and correspondence.
- Manage customer requests, maintain accurate records and update corporate systems.
- Coordinate administrative activities, meetings and documentation.
- Process purchase requisitions, invoices and financial records.
- Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve enquiries.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.
About You
You'll be a proactive and detail-oriented administrator who enjoys supporting teams and delivering outstanding customer service. You'll also have:
- Previous experience in administration or business support.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems.
- High attention to detail with strong data entry and record management skills.
- Financial administration experience (purchase orders, invoices or reconciliations) will be highly regarded.
