CHANGE AND CAPABILITY LEAD

We are seeking an experienced Change and Capability Lead to drive organisational capability uplift and change initiatives within a large and complex QLD Government environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior change professional who is passionate about developing people, improving project delivery maturity and embedding best practice project and change management frameworks across a diverse organisation.

THE ROLE

As the Change and Capability Lead, you will be responsible for leading capability development initiatives that strengthen project management, change management and benefits realisation practices across the organisation.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop learning strategies, capability frameworks, training programs and change initiatives that support successful project outcomes and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead project and change management capability development programs
  • Design and deliver learning, training and professional development initiatives
  • Develop and execute change, communication and engagement strategies
  • Build and support Communities of Practice and knowledge sharing initiatives
  • Conduct capability assessments, maturity reviews and skills gap analysis
  • Manage learning resources, knowledge repositories and training content
  • Coach and support stakeholders through organisational change
  • Promote best practice project and change management methodologies

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Extensive experience in Change Management, Capability Development or Organisational Development roles
  • Strong knowledge of project management and change management methodologies
  • Experience designing, facilitating and evaluating learning and development programs
  • Proven ability to develop capability uplift strategies and maturity frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience working within large and complex organisations undergoing transformation
  • Ability to influence, engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

DESIRABLE

  • Qualifications in Change Management, Project Management, Learning and Development or a related discipline
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting Communities of Practice and organisational capability programs
