About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Change Manager to play a pivotal role in a large, multi-year transformation portfolio.

Embedded within the IT Change Management team and reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Change and Adoption, this role will lead and embed change initiatives supporting the clients’ Cyber Security & AI Strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will ensure the effective adoption of new cyber security controls, AI capabilities, and digital platforms across academic and professional staff communities while minimizing disruption to business-as-usual operations.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and hands-on delivery capability within complex IT and cyber security environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead organisational change initiatives across cyber security and AI programs within a complex IT environment.
  • Partner with senior leaders and delivery partners to drive enterprise-wide transformation and embed sustainable change.
  • Design and implement comprehensive change strategies addressing people, process, and technology impacts.
  • Assess and manage change impacts across remediation, assurance, and platform uplift activities.
  • Develop and execute compelling enterprise-wide communication plans to drive awareness, understanding, and behavioural change.
  • Tailor engagement approaches diverse stakeholder groups to ensure readiness, alignment, and buy-in.
  • Coordinate training and enablement activities to support adoption of new controls, platforms, and ways of working.
  • Monitor adoption metrics, resistance, and change risks; provide insights into governance forums and continuously improve outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience leading large-scale IT organisational change initiatives within complex IT environments, including cyber security programs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-wide digital transformation and embedding sustainable behavioural change.
  • Proven capability to design and execute comprehensive change strategies that drive deep stakeholder engagement and technology adoption.
  • Strong experience developing and delivering clear, engaging enterprise communication strategies.
  • Skilled at working with senior executives and cross-functional teams to achieve alignment and adoption.
  • Experience working within higher education or large, federated organisations (highly regarded).
