Cloud Systems Administrator

A large and essential services organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Administrator to support and enhance enterprise platform and cloud infrastructure environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative digital operations team responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient technology services that support critical community operations.

You will play a key role in cloud platform administration, infrastructure support, incident resolution, automation, systems integration, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Administering and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Managing platform operations across physical, virtual, and cloud-based systems
• Monitoring system performance, availability, security, and operational health
• Supporting incident, problem, change, and release management activities
• Automating operational processes and infrastructure tasks using scripting and tooling
• Contributing to system integration, configuration management, and deployment activities
• Maintaining operational documentation, SOPs, and technical standards
• Collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver stable and resilient solutions
• Identifying risks, recommending improvements, and supporting continuous optimisation initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in cloud infrastructure and systems administration within enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies, virtualisation, infrastructure operations, and platform support
• Experience with ITIL-aligned operational processes including incident, change, and problem management
• Exposure to automation, scripting, monitoring, and configuration management tools
• Understanding of information security controls and operational best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work across multiple technology domains
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Relevant certifications such as Azure, ITIL, Microsoft, CCNA, or similar are highly regarded

Nice to Have

• Experience working in highly available or critical infrastructure environments
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code practices
• Knowledge of enterprise integration and data management practices
• Experience participating in on-call support rotations
