About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Specialist to support the delivery of a major infrastructure program. This role is responsible for the administration and commercial management of multiple high-value, high-volume contracts, ensuring performance, compliance, and value for money.
You will act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders, working closely with program and project teams to manage contracts, assess claims, and drive continuous improvement across supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage multiple infrastructure contracts across a portfolio of projects
- Review and assess contractor payment claims, variations, and accruals
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance at contract and work order level
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation, compliance, and risk
- Support procurement activities, including issuing work packages and variations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders
- Analyse supplier performance and KPIs, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to financial reporting, forecasting, and end-of-month/year processes
- Drive continuous improvement in contract management practices and systems
About You
- Proven experience in contract administration/management within infrastructure, utilities, or construction environments
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost control, claims assessment, and financial analysis
- Experience managing high-value, complex contracts across multiple projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Experience working with ERP systems and digital contract management tools
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. construction, engineering, finance, or commercial)
