CYBER SECURITY OFFICER

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Officer to join a large and complex environment, supporting the delivery of critical information security services. This role will see you contribute to safeguarding systems and data, ensuring compliance with security frameworks, and responding to cyber security threats and incidents.

kery responsibilities:

• Provide technical support in the operation and administration of vulnerability management solutions.
• Review current and proposed information systems for compliance with security standards, policies, and frameworks.
• Investigate security breaches and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for remediation.
• Contribute to strengthening security posture through experience with SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, identity management, endpoint protection, and secure coding practices.
• Deliver clear and timely reporting, advice, and support to ICT teams and stakeholders across the business.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber security threats, tools, and practices.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Officer / Administrator in large enterprise or government environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and ACSC Essential Eight frameworks.
• Technical expertise across virtualisation, operating systems, email security, IPS, and application firewalls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
