Join as a Cyber Security Test Specialist in Adelaide!
Duration: 9 months (with possible extension).
Hybrid role: 3 days onsite, flexible remote options.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Test Specialist to join a dedicated Test Services Team. Reporting to the Manager, Test Services, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality security testing across a large-scale Cyber Security Program.
You will work closely with project managers, cyber teams, and vendors to ensure cyber controls are effectively implemented, validated, and aligned with governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver cybersecurity testing across remediation, assurance, detection, and platform initiatives
- Develop and execute security test plans and validation activities
- Validate vulnerability remediation, configuration hardening, IAM, endpoint, email, and platform security controls
- Support penetration testing coordination, compliance testing, and control effectiveness validation
- Validate SIEM use cases, SOC alerting, and detection controls
- Produce clear, evidence-based test artefacts, findings, and assurance documentation
- Manage defects end-to-end using JIRA and Zephyr
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, controls, and risk management
- Hands-on experience in security testing, vulnerability validation, and assurance
- Knowledge across IAM, endpoint, network, cloud, application security, SIEM, and SOC
- Experience working in large enterprise IT environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
- Minimum 3+ years’ hands-on testing experience in Australia
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience in security assurance or technology testing in complex environments
- Relevant certifications (desirable)
