Database Administrator / Application SRE - Baseline Clearance Required

Position Details

• Role: Database Administrator / Application SRE

• Contract Term: 12 Months with potential extensions

• Location: Melbourne or Canberra (Hybrid)

• Work Eligibility: AU Citizens with Baseline Clearance only

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator / Application SRE for a 12-month contract opportunity. This role offers a hybrid working model based in either Melbourne or Canberra.

Mandatory Eligibility Requirement: Due to the nature of the project, Australian Citizenship and an active Baseline Security Clearance are strictly mandatory.

Role Overview

In this role, you will use database management software to collect agreed-upon performance statistics and maintain system reliability. You will carry out database maintenance and administration tasks, including backups, patching, and routine health checks.

Key Skills & Experience

Core Database & Systems Skills

• Microsoft SQL Server(Intermediate)

• PostgreSQL(Intermediate)

• IBM Db2(Beginner)

Cloud & Search Technologies

• AWS RDS(Beginner)

• AWS DynamoDB(Beginner)

• Elasticsearch(Beginner)

Preferred Certifications

While not mandatory, holding the following certifications will be highly regarded:

• AWS Cloud Practitioner

• ITIL v4 Foundation
