Delivery Manager
Are you an experienced delivery leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and predictability to delivery? We are seeking a Delivery Manager to drive operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of work.
This role will see you leading delivery across a mix of operational support (incidents), small enhancements, and large-scale project initiatives, ensuring teams deliver consistently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
About the Role
You will play a key role in improving delivery outcomes by embedding strong planning practices, driving execution discipline, and enabling clear visibility across all workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the delivery operating model across multiple work types
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement, and retrospectives
- Implement capacity-based planning to align delivery commitments with team availability
- Improve delivery predictability and reduce carry-over between sprints
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers, ensuring timely resolution
- Coordinate prioritisation and trade-offs with stakeholders to balance planned and urgent work
- Ensure consistent visibility of delivery progress, risks, and outcomes
- Align delivery tools and processes (e.g., Jira and ITSM platforms) for efficient execution
- Use metrics and reporting to identify improvement opportunities and optimise performance
- Support collaboration across cross-functional technical teams
About You
You are a pragmatic, hands-on delivery professional who combines strong Agile expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering in Agile environments (Scrum and Kanban/Scrumban)
- Demonstrated ability to improve delivery predictability and team performance
- Strong understanding of flow management (WIP limits, prioritisation, blockers)
- Experience with capacity-based planning and realistic commitment setting
- Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management skills
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and delivery governance
- Proficiency in Jira(or similar tools) for tracking and reporting
- Familiarity with ITSM/service delivery environments
- Ability to lead and influence teams in a hybrid/virtual setting
Desirable:
- Experience with Tempo Timesheets or similar tools
- Exposure to cloud, infrastructure, or platform delivery environments
