Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced DocumentCorePack template design expert. As part of a motivated multi-disciplinary team, you will have the privilege of working in a highly supportive environment with the potential to impact millions in Australia.
The successful candidate is required, but not limited to:
- Plan and implement the design of document templates using DocumentCorePack tool
- Work closely with business stakeholders in translating business needs and requirements into ready-to-use templates for system users
- Provide strategic input and direction in the design of templates
- Ensure design is in alignment with industry standards and best practices
- Provide leadership to the template design team, specifically in relation to technical know-how, optimised design and tasks involved to achieve desired results
- Oversee and guide the design and use of templates including data, usability and integration
- Facilitate training sessions and prepare training materials to enable adoption of DocumentCorePack for design of templates
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to complex business needs and unique requirements in relation to the use of DocumentCorePack for template design
- Provide advice on issues and play an active role in mitigating risks
- Work with the architecture team to leverage (where applicable):
o Enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines
o Governance arrangements around design.
Skills & Experience required: - Contribute across all phases of projects (e.g., Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, Test and Rollout)
- Define the Product Backlog Items (PBIs) including acceptance criteria for template design
- Work closely with the project team to ensure DevOps items are being managed to meet time-frames, timely development sprints are achieved and defects are resolved
- Work in a fast-paced agile operating environment adopting delivery in sprints
- Excellent creative problem-solving skills
- Work independently in complex situations with a pragmatic approach to allocated work, demonstrating commitment to project outcomes.
Bonus skills/experience - Experience working within federal government
- Understanding of the Australian Government’s Digital Service Standard and the principles behind human-centred design.

Technical skills
- DocumentCorePack tool expertise
- Design of document templates using DocumentCorePack
- Exposure to use of backend tables and data for rendering fields in the template as part of design
- Development of user guides and materials
- Facilitating training sessions
Essential criteria
- In-depth knowledge, expertise and demonstrated experience in design and delivery of document templates using DocumentCorePack tool.
- Proven ability to act as the design authority and translate requirements from business stakeholders to provide practical, scalable and robust template designs adhering to best practices.
- Extensive experience providing leadership and guidance to template designers, preparation of knowledge artefacts and offering training sessions.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail, organise competing priorities, progress multiple deliverable in parallel and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Desirable criteria
- Training, qualifications and certifications in DocumentCorePack design, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and agile delivery.
- Experience working in federal government projects and initiatives.
