EL1 Assistant Director – Service Management & Delivery
- Salary: $114,090 – $142,452 plus superannuation
- Location: Canberra (onsite)
- Security Clearance: NV1 mandatory
- Employment Type: 12-month non-ongoing engagement with potential 6-month extension and future ongoing opportunities
An Australian Government organisation is seeking an experienced EL1 Assistant Director to provide leadership, coordination and operational oversight across ICT delivery and service management functions.
This role will lead stakeholder engagement, governance activities, contractor coordination and service transition initiatives while supporting the delivery and sustainment of critical business systems.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading relationships with business stakeholders, service providers and vendors
• Providing oversight across delivery, sustainment and operational activities
• Supporting governance, risk management and assurance processes
• Managing contractor engagement, onboarding and performance activities
• Coordinating procurement and market engagement activities
• Supporting service transition and business-as-usual operational readiness
• Driving consistency and continuous improvement across delivery and support practices
• Contributing to workforce planning, reporting and strategic operational outcomes
The successful candidate will bring:
• Demonstrated leadership experience in ICT delivery, service management or technology operations
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working across software delivery and operational support environments
• Sound understanding of governance, risk, security and compliance frameworks
• Experience managing competing priorities and resolving complex issues with limited supervision
• The ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes
