EL1 National Office Manager
About the Role
Our client is seeking an EL1 National Office Manager to join their Corporate Services branch within the Business Support team. This role plays a pivotal part in creating safe, efficient, and people-focused office environments that align with the agency’s operational and strategic objectives.
The National Office Manager will oversee accommodation management, security and risk frameworks, and ensure office locations are aligned with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. This role demands independence, integrity, and strong leadership capability to drive positive workplace outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Support
Provide expert guidance on accommodation, property, facilities, asset management, and security frameworks to ensure safe, efficient office operations. -
Administration & Coordination
Deliver accurate and timely administrative support across safety and security processes, manage work point allocations, coordinate special events, and oversee office refurbishments and fit-outs. Act as the key point of contact for external authorities and service providers. -
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise and build strong working relationships with staff, service providers, contractors, and building management representatives. Deliver in-house training on security practices and foster a positive risk management culture.
Key Challenges

Acting as the lead facilities contact across registry locations, providing timely and informed advice across accommodation, security, and workplace issues.

Managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring clarity and effective communication.

Ensuring compliance with government legislation, policies, and internal governance requirements around property, risk, assets, and security.
Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of property, facilities, risk, and asset management best practice, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and government frameworks.

Proven ability to take a leadership role during service disruptions or emergencies, coordinate events, and deliver workplace training across WHS and security matters.

Strong organisational and managerial skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, conduct research, and coordinate meetings to ensure workforce compliance with policies and procedures.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and influence positive workplace outcomes.

Capacity to work under pressure, manage office layout and fit-out projects, and balance competing demands while applying sound judgment and tact.

Strong analytical skills with experience maintaining records, conducting stocktakes, and preparing accurate, evidence-based reports and responses.

An active NV2 security clearance is highly desirable.
