ERP SAP PRINCIPAL SPECIALIST
Our QLD Government client is seeking a dynamic ERP SAP Principal Specialist to help shape and deliver SAP roadmaps, drive complex People Services transformations, and lead major SAP platform initiatives across a large, public sector environment. You’ll play a critical role influencing leaders, guiding solution delivery, and advancing ERP excellence for a diverse, high-profile workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide functional leadership across all core SAP HCM modules (Payroll, Time Management, Personnel Admin, Org Management, Analytics, SuccessFactors) and ensure alignment to strategic business needs.
- Manage, mentor, and grow high-performing SAP functional teams—internal consultants, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Define and execute functional roadmaps, solution architectures, and delivery frameworks (incl. SAP Activate) for major projects and continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and uphold Master Data Governance standards (data ownership, quality, policy, lifecycle, and integration).
- Drive and assure best practice in functional solution design, testing, data migration, service transition, reporting, and ongoing support.
- Act as the key bridge between People, Payroll, Technology, EH&S, Finance, and Asset Management teams.
- Represent People Services interests in S/4HANA migration, implementation, or enhancement programs.
- Build enduring relationships with highly engaged business leaders and external service providers.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (HR, IT, Business or similar).
- Current SAP certification in a relevant SAP HCM module.
- Substantial hands-on experience as a senior SAP Functional Consultant, Solution Architect, or similar within large, complex, or public sector organisations.
- Demonstrated success in end-to-end SAP projects, with proven expertise in SAP HCM (Payroll, Time, Org Management, SuccessFactors) and complex integration environments.
- Deep understanding of Master Data Governance principles and execution.
- Proven leadership ability: you empower teams, influence at all levels, and manage demanding stakeholder portfolios.
- Outstanding communication, project delivery, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- High professionalism and governance acumen, especially in regulated or government settings.
