We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Support Officer to provide executive level support within a large government department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the centre of a major digital transformation initiative, supporting senior leadership while contributing to projects that improve services for Queensland communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this fast-paced and varied role, you will:

  • Manage a complex executive diary, including scheduling, changes, and meeting preparation
  • Coordinate executive meetings, forums, and governance activities
  • Prepare agendas, reports, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Monitor and manage incoming correspondence, ensuring timely responses and escalation where needed
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support including inbox management, records, and office coordination
  • Support internal processes such as timesheets, forms, and ID coordination
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across government and external partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and systems

About You

You’re an experienced Executive or Team Administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being the go-to person for getting things done.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
